SENIOR / EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT Job Code S-01 MISSION STATEMENT: High level / Significant responsibility in this opportunity! Reporting to the Sr. Vice President you will identify and investigate business opportunities with emphasis on clinical candidates; assist and lead in -licensing and out-licensing deals; (if you have experience with licensing marketed products this would be a big plus). ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Represent company at industry meetings; explore existing and new relationships within bio/pharmaceutical industry; Interface with market research activities to evaluate opportunities; Champion attractive business development opportunities; Manage due diligence process by interfacing closely with R&D, legal, and finance groups. QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate Degree (prefer MD and/or PhD), MBA a plus with a minimum of 7-10 years industry experience. Must have closed deals for products/product candidates and have attractive deal sheet; Experience with international travel and business deals - Japan/Asia a big plus; Ability to develop product dossiers and related business development materials in connection with licensing/partnering strategy; Experience with financial analysis in valuing internal programs and in evaluation of new product opportunities TRADE RELATIONS SPECIALTY PHARMACY: Job Code S-2 MISSION STATEMENT: In reporting to the Trade Director, responsible for fostering and maintaining relationships with focus on the Specialty Pharmacy markets. Includes Specialty Pharmacy distribution strategy, development of contracts, and external partnering. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Implement new Channel distribution strategy to shorten chain and ship higher volume to SPPs that increase service level to end customers. Develop partnerships with preferred/qualified players in Specialty Pharmacy. Functionally manage major specialty pharmacy accounts. Execute plans on recalls, product launches, and other commercial initiatives involving specialty pharmacies and direct accounts. Manage various contracts with key external accounts as necessary and required to ensure clear, stable and profitable relationships with the Trade partners. Ensure that contracts and agreements are correctly implemented including monitoring of inventory levels, the active application of the returns policy, and the correct execution of any special sales agreements. Assist Trade Director, and VP SCM in negotiation of agreements or contracts with related customers, both on a long and short-term basis. Provide input to Trade Director and VP, both short and long term, to update our distribution approaches and trade relations, to maintain a continuous fit with the Companys business environment. With approval from Trade Director, develop and implement external communications to Specialty pharmacies when needed such as product launches, recalls, price increases, etc.§ Participate in projects involving or impacting Trade partners. Represent COMPANY within the various trade organizations, and participate on their behalf to select and significant trade events. QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree in technical or business fields. Advanced degree a preferred. Minimum 4-6 years Biotech/Pharmaceutical experience in commercial, supply chain or trade functions. Specialty Pharmacy experience strongly preferred Sales knowledge and experience helpful/preferred. Strong business negotiating skills Strong understanding of the distribution channels for pharmaceutical products, managed markets and government entities.
