MISSION STATEMENT: The Director of Formulation will be responsible for developing solid and injectible dosage formulations for drug products.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee the development of final dosage formulations for drug products; Initiate and coordinate all outside interactions with CRO's working on formulation development.
QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in the development of solid dosage forms (tablets, capsules, gel-caps) is essential - injectible dosage forms is also desired.; a broad knowledge of the various companies/CRO’s in the formulation development arena; Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics / related discipline plus a minimum of 10 years experience in the development of formulations in the pharmaceutical industry.

Currently, this Company is expanding thier research program in Signal Transduction-Based Drug Discovery in Molecular Oncology and Cancer Biology. There is now a need for an experienced, highly talented Group Leader to take responsibility for establishing a retroviral RNAi-based model engineering platform and leading a team of scientific personnel researching Signal Treansduction-based drug discovery in molecular oncology and cancer biology.
RESPONSIBILITIES and QUALIFICATIONS:
The incumbent will be involved in the hiring and identification of additional persons for this group involved in RNAi-based target validation. The successful individual will have extensive experience in generation, phenotypic, and molecular analyses and ideally with the generation and use of retro/ lentiviral vectors and/or with siRNA. Extensive experience in molecular, biochemical and cell biological techniques is necessary. Preference is given to persons with previous demonstrated expertise with lentiviral vector systems, vector-based siRNA analyses, phenotypic and molecular analyses, and generation of gene-targeted models, and who are capable of organizing such a facility. The successful applicant is expected to be a hands-on group leader, and will hold an M.D.and/or Ph.D. and have at least 4-6 years of solid post-doctoral experience.
